Partners in crime Karen Shoemaker and Allen Gee will join me on a lively panel, "Writing About Place: Growing Where We're Planted"  at the Southeast Wisconsin Book Festival from 1 - 2 p.m. Later, at 4, we'll join a conversation with several other writers about Harper Lee's classic novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. 

I'll be participating in the Burlington Book Festival alongside such luminaries at Naomi Shihab Nye, Edward Hirsch, and Elizabeth Marshall Thomas. Wowza.
